An early 20th century rectangular hand painted ship's biscuit painted in oils with

a profile of HMS 'King Alfred' 1901 and inscribed 'A . MERRY . XMAS', 'H.M.S. KING . ALFRED'. The surface is varnished. 'King Alfred' was an armoured cruiser, built by Vickers in 1901.
